Today, I am reviewing the It Cosmetics Your Most Beautiful You 6-piece Collection. This collection of some of It Cosmetics’ best products is great for the woman who wants a subtle and natural, but refreshing look. The kit is filled with light pinks and flesh tones. This amazing collection has all you need for a refined and sophisticated look, and the best part is that it includes the brushes you would need to apply the makeup included.

Hello Light Anti-Aging Creme Luminizer: (Swatch Below)
Before this one, I actually had never tried a luminizer, though I have been wanting to. And I have to say I am very impressed! Though It Cosmetics recommends that you use the Heavenly Luxe Pointed Precision Complexion Brush to apply this luminizer, I prefer to use my finger and dab it on my face. I applied it on the outer and inner corners of my eyes, upper and lower lip, upper cheek bones, and a little on my t-zone. Doing this gives my face a nice, dewy, fresh-faced glow. It also doesn’t dry out your skin, it keeps your face dewy (but not greasy!) all day! Although I don’t feel the need for “Anti-Aging” skin care products, I still absolutely love this product.

It Cosmetics says…”…Vitamins A, C, & E…harmoniously and effectively hydrate, condition, and nourish your skin while providing a dazzling kiss of glowing light.”

As you can see in the swatches below, this luminizer is subtle, but definitely has a good amount of shimmer and shine.

Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain:
Personally, I am not a big lip gloss fan for some reason. Although, I do love to layer lip glosses over lipsticks to add shimmer or shine to a more “matte” textured lip stick. And this one in particular is great for layering! While this gloss is also great by itself for a natural hint of pink, I don’t prefer to use it that way. If is “Lip Blush” is layered over a bright or berry red, it slightly tones down and lightens the color all the while hydrating and smoothing your lips.
It Cosmetics calls this lip product a “Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain”. They say that…“The cutting-edge technology drenches your lips in ingredients that together create a stain that never dries your lips out.” The gloss definitely didn’t dry my lips out, though I wouldn’t necessarily call it a stain, because it doesn’t stain your lips, though it does last a while.

As you can see in the swatch below, the lip blush is semi-sheer with a pink tint.

    Bye Bye Under Eye:
I would say that It Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Under Eye is what they are most famous for. You could say that this concealer is a “cult-favorite.” And after trying it, I could see what everyone has been raving about! First of all, one tube of this concealer could last a while because you really don’t need a lot at all. A little really does go a long way. This product has great coverage and lasts me all day without having to re-apply. It cosmetics recommends that you use the Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Foundation/Concealer Brush to apply your concealer. I do like this method for overall coverage, although I also like using my fingers for concentrated areas, though if you want overall coverage or coverage on larger areas like under your eyes, I recommend using the brush.

It Cosmetics says…”This…full coverage collagen treatment concealer (which can also be worn as your all over foundation), is highly pigmented and never creases or cracks.

Bye Bye Under Eye is a little too thick for me to use it as an all over foundation, though it would be great for a person who is looking for lots of coverage.

As you can see in the below swatches, when a small amount of Bye Bye Under Eye is spread, it is way more than you would need for one area. I would probably use about half of this amount for my face.

YBBB Your Brows But Better Brow Power Skinny Pencil:
It’s always nice to have a good quality brow pencil. And in my opinion, a quality eyebrow pencil applies lightly, but is buildable, and is thin enough to define your brows. The YBBB pencil definitely meets those criteria. It is very thin, which is perfect to fill in the small, sparse areas without darkening your eyebrows too much. That’s why pencils like this are much better in my opinion, as opposed to some of the newer eyebrow “crayons” that are out there. Those tend to give you less control, making it easier to over fill and over darken your brows. This pencil also includes a mascara-like wand on the other end to soften the look. I would say however, that the shade of brown wouldn’t be the best for everyone, as it is a rather light shade. Overall though, the YBBB Brow Pencil is the perfect, makeup essential for your makeup bag.

It cosmetics says…”This pencil adheres to skin and looks like real hair.”

As you can see in the swatch below, when you look from left to right, the pencil can either be very light or fairly dark.

    Now lets review the brushes…

    20130806-171954.jpg
Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Foundation/Concealer Brush:
I had never used a concealer brush before, as I didn’t feel the need to because I usually use my fingers. Although, after using this brush, I actually prefer to use a brush to apply my concealer now. Especially for applying it under my eyes and in the shadows of my face. However, the foundation end of this brush is very soft, and I would probably use it for something like blush or bronzer rather than foundation. I prefer to use a duo fibre stippling brush for liquid foundation.
Heavenly Luxe Pointed Precision Complexion Brush:
While I do like to apply the Hello Light Anti-Aging Creme Luminizer with my fingers, this Complexion Brush works really well! The pointed end makes it easier to apply the luminizer to smaller areas like the outer corners of the eyes. Also, the bristles are stiff enough to apply a cream luminizer, and most importantly, not too soft!
Here is a photo of the applicators close up…
